This is the fourth edition of TIPS on TWOS - a booklet written by Laser II sailors for Laser II sailors. With each new edition we have changed some of the articles but broadly the text and advice remains the same.
Like any dinghy class, the majority of Laser II owners are not, and would not pretend to be championship contenders. It is for these people that this book has been written.
The booklet is not designed as a full blown racing manual, if you want one of those there are many excellent publications. What this book does try to do is help the person new to the Laser II to get more out of his or her boat. However, it will be clear when reading the articles that there is one thing you need to do to get the most out of your Laser II and that is PRACTICE!!
An ideal place to practice is at the Laser II Open Meetings and training days organised throughout the year. Many of the authors of this booklet will be found at these events and they will be only too willing to help.
