From 1 September, Microsoft will start asking users to create a passkey when they sign-in. SMS text message and phone call verification will be phased out from 1 February 2027, so if you are using these methods, you are advised to set up a passkey before that deadline (which the NCSC advises is phishing resistant and provides stronger protection for your account). Please take a moment to read the University's guidance so you know exactly what to expect and how you can complete the required steps.
