Getting Supported by the Wellbeing and Student Support Team

Please follow the steps below in order to complete the specific accommodation requirements process.

1. Register

As a new applicant you will need to first register for a Warwick IT accountLink opens in a new window.

2. Message on the Wellbeing Portal

Once you have set up your Warwick IT account login then you will be able to message the Wellbeing and Student Support using the Wellbeing PortalLink opens in a new window.

3. Submit Supporting Evidence

You'll need to submit supporting evidence in English, written by a professional, typed on official headed paper that will inform an assessment of your needs. The evidence should include information about the nature of your difficulties and any corresponding accommodation requirements.

4. Wellbeing and Student Support liaise with us

The relevant Wellbeing and Student Support team will discuss your requirements with you and liaise with Warwick Accommodation to make a recommendation for campus accommodation including the need for en suite accommodation.

Private Accommodation Support

If you are in a private accommodation contract (including partnership accommodation), you are welcome to contact Wellbeing and Student SupportLink opens in a new window regarding your accommodation requirements, however the terms of your private accommodation contract will remain unchanged and you will need to contact your accommodation provider regarding this.

Please ensure you consider this when accepting any offers of accommodation off campus in the private sector.

Long Bed Single Gender Accommodation

First year undergraduate students can indicate on our accommodation application form whether they would prefer single gender accommodation. Some flats or corridors within our residences are designated as single gender areas and we will endeavour to meet your preference for a single gender area, however we are not able to guarantee that we will be able to accommodate it.

The accommodation booking process for returning undergraduate students and postgraduate students differs as students need to choose an available residence when booking accommodation. There may be single gender room profiles assigned to certain residences which students can select at the time of booking. Bookings are usually offered on a first-come first-served basis and subject to availability.

Students Under 18

Students who will be under 18 at the point of entry should be aware that they are applying to live in an adult environment.

If you are under 18 on 19 September 2024 you will only be able to select en suite options for your hall preferences when applying for accommodation. If you are aged 17 on 19 September 2024 and would like to be considered for a shared bathroom hall (such as for financial reasons) please email accommodation@warwick.ac.uk by 16 August 2024 and include your shared bathroom hall preferences.

Care Leavers and Estranged Students Independent Students

Please contact Wellbeing and Student Support if you are an independent student and have specific requirements relating to accommodation.
