Charlie Elliott:- Warwick PhD, Post-doctoral, Job Opportunities

  • My research is centred around computational mathematics and nonlinear partial differential equations including numerical analysis and applied analysis. In particular, finite element methods, free boundary problems, geometric evolution equations and surface growth, two phase flow, cell motility, biomembranes and PDE optimisation. You can gain some idea of my research by checking out on my home page downloadable papers and workshops/conferences that I am attending or giving talks in.

    PhD Positions

  • I am the Director of the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training MASDOC which has a programme of research across applied mathematics and statistics based on the areas analysis, numerics, probability, statistics and modelling MASDOC

  • For general information concerning PhD opportunities in applied, pure and computational mathematics see Mathematics Graduate Studies

    Post-Doctoral Fellowships

  • There are several competitive Fellowship schemes to support talented researchers who do not currently have a permanent UK position, for periods of 1-5 years. These are offered, for example, by the Royal Society, EPSRC, Leverhulme, EU/ERC etc . The person who wishes to hold the Fellowship applies via a nominated host institution (which need not be their current home institution, and several of the schemes actively encourage or even demand mobility). Warwick has hosted holders of such Fellowships in the past. We welcome enquiries from anyone considering applying for such Fellowships nominating Warwick as the host institution. For general information concerning postodoctoral opportunities see Fellowships
