1998 Prisoner Convention: Portmeirion
This is a set of pages on the 1998 annual convention of Six of One the Prisoner appreciation society. The convention used to be held each year in Portmeirion, North Wales and has thus come to be known as the Portmeiricon. A significant number of past key convention event organisers (including myself who had a modest role running one of the convention discussion groups) will not be attending future Portmeiricons as we no longer wish to be part of Six of One due to our disgust at the behaviour of one of the society co-ordinating team. However my pages cover two of the best past cons. In 1998 around 250 fans attended from various countries. There was a particularly large French contingent that year. I also saw familiar faces from Austria and Germany as well as the usual UK fans.
