We have been informed of a confirmed case of tuberculosis affecting a student. We understand the student involved is being medically treated. At this stage, University staff are identifying any individuals who live with the affected student and contacting them to offer advice and support. We are following guidelines from the UK Health Security Agency. We understand that members of our University community may have questions, and we would like to offer reassurance that, based on current public health advice, the risk of wider transmission in this situation is low.
