Research and Development in e-Learning

The Centre for Academic Practice has successfully bid for a number of externally funded teaching development projects that support the general strategic aims of the University and develop national interests, particularly in educational technology. The projects explore novel approaches in teaching and learning, developing ideas and prototypes rather than products and services. This is reflected in the considerable knowledge that has been generated from such project work, which has generated further opportunities and funding for development and informed the University's learning and teaching and e-learning strategies. The areas of current relevance to Warwick that project work supports and develops are research-based learning, institutional embedding and the creation of re-usable electronic resources.

E-lab, the division of IT Services responsible for co-ordinating the delivery of the e-strategy, is researching and developing new technologies in the areas of web services, e-learning and business systems.
