The ETUG User Group
Warwick Educational Technology User Group
|
WHY
A USER GROUP
The
ETUG user group was formed to unite individuals at Warwick
interested in implementing educational technology into their
teaching. Although there are a number of national initiatives,
programmes and associations which address educational teaching
and learning issues, it is worthwhile and effective to have
a local community focal point. |
|
WHAT
DOES ETUG DO?
The
ETUG user group is concerned with issues involved in the
use of technology for student learning and assessment and
in courseware production. It aims to bring together various
interests, and include both users with extensive involvement,
experience and expertise and those who wish to explore and
exploit its potential in their discipline. It is a forum
for disseminating information, exchanging ideas and experiences,
brainstorming, collaborating on projects and bids for internal
and external funding and for encouraging and infleuncing
institutional strategies for integrating technology into
the curriculum. |
|
WHO
DOES ETUG REPORT TO?
The
ETUG's activities are reported to the Teaching and Learning
Steering Group of the main Information Technology Policy
Committee (ITPC) as well as the Academic Staff Development
and Appraisal Committee (ASDAC) - so ETUG does have a voice!
