Material type: Website
Description:
The impact of migration is often underestimated in history
teaching, with little or no attention paid to the role of
immigrants and emigrants in the history of the community.
The aim of this website, run by the History Department at
Leiden University, is to help reseachers and students who
want to study European migration movements by providing them
with a framework and with documents and information about
sources on migration. The site uses a chronological framework
and analyses each historical period in terms of
1. Description of migration
movements
2. Causes of migration
3. Consequences of migration
4. Reactions to migration
